Most companies will not put a number on a website. Here are ours, and more importantly, what actually moves them.
Our Installed Price Range
$1,200 to $2,400 for a single door and $2,200 to $3,200 for a double, installed, with the permit and hurricane approval included. That is the real range, not a teaser.
What Moves the Price
- Size. A double door is more material and a heavier spring system.
- Insulation. An insulated door costs more and is worth it if the garage is attached, has a room above it, or you use it as a workspace.
- Windows. Impact-rated glass in a door section is the single biggest optional upcharge.
- Panel style and finish. Raised panel is standard. Flush modern, carriage house and woodgrain finishes cost more.
- Track configuration. Standard lift is priced as standard. High lift and vertical lift need different hardware.
- Condition of the opening. Rotted jambs have to be rebuilt before a new door goes on.
What Is Always Included
The permit, the Notice of Acceptance documentation, removal and disposal of the old door, new tracks and hardware, and springs sized to the actual door weight. If a quote is dramatically lower than these numbers, ask which of those it leaves out.
Repair or Replace?
Replace if the door has structural damage across multiple panels, if it is a one-piece tilt-up, if parts are discontinued, or if it has no hurricane rating and you plan to stay. Repair if the door is sound and the problem is springs, cables, rollers or the opener — those are all far cheaper than a door.
